2008-09-19 [shadow of darkness]: i've seen this power before, multiple times actually. there was a girl who's body coated itself with nitro-glycerin instead of sweat, all she needed was for someone to strike her. her boyfriend would do that. lol he was explosive proof or something, i think he like absorbed energy or something. so he'd strike her so her nitro explodes and then he gets a power boost. then there's Nitro, the guy who's taken out Captain Marvel and Wolverine. although death didn't take on ol' wolvie. lol

2008-09-19 [shadow of darkness]: i concur. I mean even in Nitro's case, he can be knocked unconcious by his own explosion. Like when he blew up Wolverine. It knocked him out for a while

2008-09-21 [Ravenclaw]: yes but given the dramatics of the marvel universe wouldn't it seem pointless to have a character who gets injured by his abilities? It's like how they phased out that whole thing with Nightcrawler's teleportation. IN the beginning teleporting more than himself made him violently ill or would knock him unconsious. Now it's not an issue.
